What’s New -  April 2013

Not much to report this month. I have seven stories out in circulation, so hopefully some good news will come out of it.

Jason M. Waltz of Rogue Blades Entertainment has released an excellent new book titled Writing Fantasy Heroes: Powerful Advice From the Pros. In it he has gathered some of the leading authors in the field, each bringing their own perspective on what defines a hero. Among those contributing to this volume are Janet and Chris Morris, Glen Cook, Orson Scott Card, Cecelia Holland, C. L. Werner and more, including an introduction by Steven Erikson. If you are an author wanting to take their craft to the next level, or merely wish to read how these established writers work, then this book is definitely for you.

What’s New -  March 2013

The podcast of Anezka is now live at Tales of Old. Give it a listen. It’s excellent.

The Blog That Time Forgot, an excellent site for all things fantasy and S&S, reviewed some works I have appeared in, as well as my graphic novel The Marsh God, based on the short story of the same name.

What’s New -  February 2013 - cont.

My short story Anezka, about the final days of  the great Carthaginian general, Hannibal Barca, will be presented as a podcast at Tales of Old sometime in the near future. This is my first sale to a podcast, so I’ll be interested to hear how it comes out. Anezka originally appeared in Paradox: The Magazine of Historical and Speculative Fiction, and was reprinted a couple years back in Comets and Criminals. Tales of Old features stories set in the historical and alternate history genres, and is definitely worth a listen.

Finally, don’t forget to check out Sha’Daa: Pawns and Bigfoot Terror Tales Vol. 1: Stories of Sasquatch Horror, both anthologies including stories by me.

What’s New -  January 2013

Unfortunately my plans for a contribution to Dreamers in Hell fell through, due to circumstances beyond my control.

I discovered a great new blog via the Goodreads group Sword & Sorcery: An Earthier Sort of Fantasy. Titled simply Sword & Sorcery: A Blog, Fletcher A Vredenburgh discusses many classic and modern titles. Definitely worth your time.
